Full Professor, PhD and Aggregate in International Health from the NOVA University of Lisbon and Degree in Psychology from the University of Lisbon. She is the Coordinator of the Center for Research in Public Health. Previously, she was coordinator of the PhD in International Health at IHMT/UNL, Director of the International Public Health Unit and coordinator of the thematic line “Health Challenges of Travelers and Migrants” of the research center “Global Health and Tropical Medicine”/UNL. She works as a consultant in several international organizations, such as the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control, World Health Organization, International Organization for Migration, among others. It develops its academic activity in topics related to community health, health of vulnerable populations (including migrant populations), health promotion, disease prevention, sexual health and health and access to and use of health services.
