Mónica Oliveira

Mónica Oliveira is a full professor in the area of Decision Sciences in the Department of Engineering and Management of the Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon, and a member of the research team at the Center for Management Studies of the Instituto Superior Técnico (CEG-IST) and the IST Institute of Biomedical Science. She is coordinator of the SAÚDE network at the University of Lisbon. Her research interests focus on the development of models and techniques to support clinical decision-making, health services management and health policy. She has applied these models in public and private organizations in multiple real contexts and actively participated in international health projects. She is an editorial member of several scientific journals in the area and has been involved in advisory boards of the Ministry of Health and is an active member of the Portuguese Association of Health Economics. Graduated in Economics from the University of Porto, she has a master’s and doctorate in Operational Research from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
