Luísa Monteiro

Luisa Monteiro graduated from Medical Scholl in Lisbon in 1981 and she is a specialist in Otorhynolaryngology since 1991. She has a special interest in hearing loss including screeening, diagnosis and rehabilitation. She implemented the programms of Universal Newborn Hearing Screening in Portugal since 2005 as she was a founding member of GRISI (Grupo de Rastreio e Intervenção da Surdez Infantil). She also is a Cochlear Implant surgeon, and she is the Head of Otorhinolaryngology Department at Hospital Lusíadas Lisboa. She is a member of the World Hearing Forum
