Prof. Filomeno Fortes, Graduated in Medicine at the Agostinho Neto University in Angola, Specialist in Public Health, Specialist in Malaria, Master in Infectious Diseases, Doctor in Biomedical Sciences, currently Director of the Institute of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (Lisbon-Portugal), President of the Research Center of Excellence, Global Health and Tropical Medicine of Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (GHTM) – Lisbon – Portugal, and President of the Association for the Development of Tropical Medicine (ADMT) in Portugal. Until 2017, served as National Director of Endemic Diseases Control, Head of the Disease Control Department and Director of the Malaria Control Program in Angola.
